Velva Sheen was founded in 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Manufacturer of sweatshirts, T-shirts, jackets and gym shorts for colleges and the United States Armed Forces.

For a long time Velva Sheen was gone, but fortunately, the company was recently revived by a Japanese company based in California. Its goal, to continue producing the clothes that contributed to the history of American sportswear. The Velva Sheen machines now run all day long at full speed to weave the famous tubular T-shirts with sensational weights.
