Collection: Birkenstock

Founded in 1774 by Johann Birkenstock, the family business did not really begin to develop until a century later.

In 1896, Konrad Birkenstock designed the first shoe with an insole that contoured and supported the foot. At the time, the shoe was almost orthopedic, and Birkenstock was the first brand to communicate on the concept of comfortable shoes.

It is this innovation that will make the brand famous and make it synonymous with healthy shoes for the foot.

In the 1970s, American hippies took over the "Birk'" and they became the ultimate cool shoe.

Since the end of the 80s, Birkenstock has been one of the first companies to ask environmental questions. The brand has even managed the feat of reducing the energy consumption of its production workshops by 90%. Birkenstock is a brand that has always known how to evolve with the times.
