History of Utility Shirts
Early models of the cotton sateen utility shirt were classified as the "jacket" and had cuffless sleeves and classic pockets.
Later models were considered "shirts" and had cuffed sleeves and flap pockets.
The last model made in the 70s used a 50% polyester blend fabric, which classified the shirt as a utility shirt.
The 50s jacket type was worn by Elvis Presley, while the 70s shirt type was worn by John Lennon
which makes this shirt a popular fashion item.
The following models feature BDU buttons and the armholes, sides and sleeves have single stitching.
