Collection: Hoka one one

"Hoka One One" literally means "to glide on earth" in Maori, which corresponds to the specificity of the brand's shoes: their imposing soles are supposed to provide significant cushioning while remaining light. This sole remains the main point of stylistic distinction compared to historical competitors such as Asics or Nike in the field of running, with the curved shape of its shoes as well as the use of bright colors. When it was launched, these key points went against the market, which then preferred minimalist shoes, except for the drop (difference in thickness between the front and back of the sole), which is low (less than 6 mm) on the Hoka one one as on minimalist shoes. This contributed to the emergence of the expression "maximalist shoe" in certain media covering running.
